General
Poker Tournament Rules
1.
Tournaments exist in two formats –
either they begin according a set schedule,
or when a certain number of players have
signed up. Should a player fail to be
logged in at the time the tournament commences,
he or she is considered to be away which
means that he pays blinds and folds. The
player will be check/folded until they
enter the tournament or until they have
no remaining chips.
For
sit and goes tournaments, players which
are registered when the tournament starts
but not logged in keep her or his seat
but are check folded.
2.
It’s not possible to change seats
during a tournament, except when part
of the tournament table balancing –
see Multi Table Tournament section.
3.
In all tournaments, the seats are assigned
randomly.
4.
At the start of a Tournament the button
is placed at a fixed position.
5.
Tournaments will end when one player accumulates
all the chips in play.
6.
Should two or more players be eliminated
in the same hand, the player with more
chips at the beginning of the hand will
be placed higher. If the players started
the hands with identical amounts of chips,
then both players tie for that rank and
any prizes due to those players will be
distributed equally amongst them.
7.
When players supposed to post blind in
the next hand are eliminated, the blinds
move and the button are placed according
to where the blinds are, i.e. the button
may stay put.
8.
With only two players remaining, the button
will post the small blind and act first
on the opening round.
9.
As players are knocked out, the tournament
tables will be balanced to ensure that
all tables have as equal an amount of
players as possible. The balancing of
the tables is done according to an algorithm
with an element of randomness designed
to ensure only certain players will be
moved in the interests of fairness. It
is taken in account the number of times
that the player has moved through out
the tournament and the position in accordance
to the blind that the player is sitting
in during the time of the move.
10.
Prizes will be awarded in accordance with
the prize list.
11.
Unethical play, including collusion, may
result in disqualification and the termination
of the offender’s account.
12.
Players are not allowed to discuss a hand
until the hand is finished.

Disconnects
13.
By participating in a tournament, a player
accepts the risk of Internet disconnection,
due to the problems with the connection
between their computer and their servers,
lag or freeze or some other problem in
the player’s computer. At no time
will SITE assume responsibility for disconnected
players regardless of cause.
14.
If a player loses connection, he/she will
have an extra 30 seconds, according to
the time kept by our servers, on top of
the regular time allotment to reconnect
and select the wanted action.
15.
If a player times out during a hand, whether
connected or disconnected, his or her
hand will be folded.
16.
If a player is not connected before a
hand commences, he or she will be dealt
cards and a blind ante will be posted.
There is no rule against choosing to sit
out - a player doing so will continue
to have blinds and antes posted, as well
as cards dealt.
17.
In the event of a server crash, the tournament
will if possible be restarted from the
position it was halted. Should a restart
not be possible, as determined by SITE,
the refund policy set out below shall
apply.

Cancellation of Tournament
18.
SITE reserves the right to cancel tournaments
due to technical issues. Upon such cancellation,
the following refund policy applies:
Eliminated players at the time of cancellation
will not be refunded in any way.
The hand in play, if any, will be reversed
for the players still in the tournament
at the time of cancellation. These remaining
players will be refunded their respective

each of these remaining players will share
the Buy-Ins plus any add-on from the players
already eliminated from the tournament
on a percentage basis based on their chip
count at the time of cancellation.
The player will have a “split pot”
refund if the prize structure hasn’t
been reached.
If prize structure has been reached, standard
payout according to the players chip standings.
Anti-Cheating Poker Software
19.
The use of any software program which
facilitates artificial intelligence is
strictly prohibited. Prohibited software
may include software which allows opponent
profiling, player collusion or any other
program which SITE considers allows a
player to cheat or gives one player an
unjust advantage over another player.
SITE may take action in order to detect
and prevent the use by players of such
software, including reading the list of
currently running programs on a player’s
computer. Upon SITE identifying use of
prohibited programs, SITE reserves the
right to freeze the relevant player’s
account for a period of at least six (6)
months, to confiscate any funds in that
account and/or to suspend the player from
using the services of SITE.
Reporting of Fraudulent Behavior
20.
Any good Poker site
will be a member of eCOGRA
and would have received the eCOGRA Seal
of Approval for poker. Any player involved
in any form of suspected fraudulent behavior
will be reported to the appropriate authorities.
