Cyber Stud Poker Rules
Cyber Stud Poker, also known as
Caribbean Poker due to its popularity on casino cruise ships,
is a fun and exciting poker game that squares off the dealer
against a single player. The objective is to beat the
dealer with a higher ranked five-card poker hand. There
are no card draws, as is the case in regular poker. You
are initially dealt five cards, and that is all.
Basically, if you know your poker hands, the game is as simple
as pie.
PLAYING ONLINE CYBER STUD
POKER
When looking at the playing screen, you will see your chips
stacked at the very bottom in values of £1, £5, £25, £100,
and £500. To place a wager, you must left click on the
denomination of your choice. Each time you left click, the
wager will increase by that same amount. Conversely, right
clicking on a chip stack will decrease the wager by that
amount. Betting limits are in the neighborhood of a £1
minimum ante and a £500 maximum ante.
To begin play, you must make
an ante. This is done by clicking on the desired amount
(as described above) and placing the coins in the
"Ante" section of the playing table. The size
of your ante is limited to 1/3 of your present bank roll
balance, and not to exceed £500. In Cyber Stud Poker,
which is a Progressive Jackpot game, you can qualify for the
jackpot by making a £1 bonus bet. You will see a
flashing chip immediately above the "Ante" area,
which when pressed, will allow you to enter the jackpot.
In order to be eligible, you must make your bonus wager before
you play your hand. The jackpot normally starts at a
minimum of £50,000 and increases by £1 every time an online
player makes a bet. Jackpot earnings are given to
players with Flushes (£50), Full Houses (£100), Four
of a Kinds (£100), Straight Flushes (10% of Jackpot or at
least £5,000) and Royal Flushes (100% of Jackpot or at least
£50,000)
When you are done making
your ante (and a jackpot bet at your discretion), click on the
'Deal' icon to receive your playing hand. You will
receive five face-up cards, while the dealer will receive one
face-up card and four face-down cards. At this point in
the game, you must decide whether you want to play your hand
against the dealers, or not. (Remember, you cannot alter
your hand in any way) If you think that your hand does
not stand a chance against the dealer's hand, you should
surrender by clicking the 'Surrender' icon. The game
will be over and you will lose your original ante. If,
however, you feel you have a chance at beating the dealer,
click on the 'Deal' icon again, and your hand will be played.
Your bet will be automatically placed as well - equal to two
times your original ante. At this point, the dealer's
cards will be revealed.
First off, the dealer must
qualify. In order to do this, the dealer must hold an
Ace/King combination or better. If the dealer does not
qualify, you automatically win with a payoff of 1 to 1 on your
ante. And your bet will be returned to you in the condition it
was made. (Even if the dealer has a better poker hand
than you) If, however, the dealer does qualify with an
Ace/King combination or better, your cards will be compared to
the dealers, and the higher ranked poker hand will win.
If you tie, all money will be returned. If you lose,
your ante and wager goes back to the bank. If you win,
you get a payoff of 1 to 1 on your ante, and odds based on the
rank of your hand, which are as follows:
A "One Pair" is
paid off 1 to 1; "Two Pair" is paid off 2 to
1; "Three of a Kind" - 3 to 1;
"Straight" - 4 to 1; "Flush" - 5 to
1; "Full House" - 7 to 1; "Four of
a Kind" - 20 to 1;
"Straight Flush" - 50 to 1; "Royal
Flush" - 200 to 1
