Sky Debuts Stacked Up And Poker Unlimited

English online poker provider and broadcaster Sky Poker has announced the launch of two new shows on Channel 846, Stacked Up and Poker Unlimited.

Stacked Up is to be a weekly programme specialising on the art of the cash game and will see teams of three expert and novice poker players alongside Sky Poker presenters compete in online contests against each other. The winning team will be the one that has increased their bankroll by the larger percentage whether at lower or higher stakes.

'As the first television show focused entirely on cash games, Stacked Up will be a revolution in television poker programming,' said Pete Ward, Head of Channels for Sky Poker and Sky Bingo.

'Stacked Up is the just the latest show to launch on Channel 846 as we constantly look to bring exciting, entertaining and educational content to the community of Sky Poker players.'

The second new programme, Poker Unlimited, will be a tour of the virtual tables at Sky Poker and focus on all the major events at the site, presenting in-depth analysis of its satellite and multi-table tournaments, sit and go’s and cash games.

'With so much action happening at Sky Poker, it is easy to miss the most exciting moments from the various tournaments,' said Ward.

'Poker Unlimited is hosted by the regular Sky Poker hosts and features the best bits from all of our tournaments including The Open, Velocity and The Five 0.'

32Red Casino Boris Promotion

As part of a special promotion, online casino 32Red is giving players 100 percent deposit bonus this month as a result of Boris Johnson being elected the Mayor of London.

The Conservative candidate won with slightly over 46 percent of the vote last week and to celebrate, Gibraltar-licensed 32Red.com is also giving players 32 free chips with every first deposit by entering the ‘Boris Bonus’ code. The site would have awarded 50 free chips had Labour and incumbent candidate Ken Livingston been elected but he fell short by receiving only 36 percent of the total.

888 Casino Profits Up

The 888 income report for the first quarter of this year saw that their bets were well placed – a £33m profit is a dramatic rise on the £24m taken in the same period last year.

That figure encompassed a 35% rise in casino revenues from 888.com and a 5% rise from PacificPoker. As well as casino games and poker, their recent profits owe thanks to the company’s expansion into other revenues such as sports betting.

'Our various business initiatives are progressing well and we are therefore confident in delivering future growth during 2008,” said Chief Executive Gigi Levy.

The casino offer a wide range of games such as Roulette, Blackjack and Caribbean Poker. A 100% first deposit bonus up to $200 is available to new customers.
