The 888 income report for the first quarter of this year saw that their bets were well placed – a £33m profit is a dramatic rise on the £24m taken in the same period last year.
That figure encompassed a 35% rise in casino revenues from 888.com and a 5% rise from PacificPoker. As well as casino games and poker, their recent profits owe thanks to the company’s expansion into other revenues such as sports betting.
'Our various business initiatives are progressing well and we are therefore confident in delivering future growth during 2008,” said Chief Executive Gigi Levy.
