Possible new Yarmouth Casino

A Marina Centre in Great Yarmouth have received a flurry of interest from companies interested in turning a 11 acre site into a new casino complex.
The Norwich Evening News reported that over 70 companies have expressed great interest, Yarmouth borough council put the land on the market in July and council mambers have said that around a dozen proposals had been submitted from local and international developers.
According to the Norwich Evenging news, this site has more potencial with developers than any other town up for one of the new large casino licenseses.

Blackpool odds on for new UK Super Casino

In a recent survey on where Londoners would like to see the first UK Spuer Casino built, the results were supprising, the poll showed that Londoners would rather have the new casino built "up north" in the very popular Lancashire sea side resort of Blackpool than on their doorstep at the Millennium Dome.

Over 1000 people were questioned on there thoughts on behalf of the Lancashire resort and according to the survey, 38% said Blackpool was their preferred location, 14% Greenwich, 10% Manchester, 7% Brent, 6% Glasgow, 4% Sheffield, 4% Newcastle and 3% Cardiff. These results will be presented to the UK Casinos Advisory Panel.

A public hearing will be held with in the next few weeks at Blackpool by the government's advisory panel. Hearings have already been held in the other bidding destinations.

Mr Steve Weaver, chief executive for Blackpool Council told the panel, "Blackpool is a resort destination. A regional casino will be the initial and key catalyst to transform the area from a resort in decline into a resort with a world-class offering. Sheffield Council makes case for super-casino

BetOnSports stalling on punters repayments

Thing are going from bad to worse at Bet On Sports, as industry analysts are starting to question the whereabouts of an estimated GBP7 million of punters deposits.
The online Gambling bookmakers has suggested that the money is being held up by online money processors, a claim that an other online marketing firm disputes.

President of Costigan Media, Mr Christopher Costigan says "That is untrue because the e-processors are not supposed to have deposit money, I think they are using this as an excuse not to pay people," he also said "I understand them not returning winnings because in the case of a bankruptcy, customers may not be entitled to that money."

Preston to back Blackpool Casino bid

The city of Preston has promised to support Blackpool with its new UK super casino bid, the city is drooling over the thought of an estimated 600 new jobs and a possible GBP500 million in economic benefits if Blackpool wins the Super Casino bid.
