Shortlist for UK Super Casino is published

The shortlist for the location on the UKs new Super Casino site has been published by the UK’s Casino Advisory Panel, Only 8 out of the 27 Super Casino applicants made it through to the next stage of considerations, this new shortlist was missing some of bigger names, like Birmingham and Convertry, this will come as a major blow to both cities, as there were very confident in making it to the shortlist.

The shortlist included Blackpool, Glasgow, the Millennium Dome, Manchester, Wembley Stadium, Cardiff and Newcastle upon Tyne.

Only one from the eight can win the license to build the first UK Super Casino, But even for favourites Blackpool and Glasgow, as well as the other six, there is still a long way to go, so even for the keen, the odds are not great.

UK to legalise online gambling

The Business Weekly has reported that British lawmakers are about to pass legislation as early as next year that will legalise online gambling, paving the way for the country to become the capital of online casino gaming.
The article reports that Britain will become the first developed country in the world to legalise online gaming, effectively securing them a tax revenue jackpot as gambling companies across the world will flock there to set up legitimate operations from a respected base.
Britain actually has a history of leading the way in the gambling markets, as it was the first country to legalise online sports betting.
The move should come as a blow to America, which despite being the source of nearly 80 percent of online gaming revenue, still collects no tax from the industry.

Mansion to sponsor Tottenham FC

Tottenham Hotspur became the third The UK football club to be sponsored by an online gambling company with a four year Kit sponsorship deal worth £34 million.
Mansion House which famously failed to secure a deal with the 1999 European Cup winners Manchester United, Mansion have now agreed to the deal which will see their logo printed on Tottenham Hotspur football kit.
This deal follows Tottenham Hotspur’s best season in many years, in which their fifth place finish secured them European football for next season. Along side Middlesbrough FC which are sponsored by 888.com and Aston Villa FC 32Red.com, the deal with Mansion House will mean three Premiership teams will be wearing gambling logos next season.
Mansion chief operating officer David Kinsman said: "Spurs have enjoyed an excellent season, with European football to look forward to next year.
