Around 150 jobs maybe lost from the headquarters of 888.com, Cassava, the company behind 888 casino on net, is to make around 150 employees from there Gibraltan baseredundant.
This sudden move follows the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act in America, Also heard on the wires is news of a possiable takeover from UK bookmaker Ladbrokes.
888uk employees have already received redundancy letters, even with then news of the possible deal with Ladbrokes.
888 saw its share price jump 8.6 percent at to around 120p, putting its value at more than GBP400 million.
A Ladbrokes spokesperson said that his company was in the early stages of reviewing a possible transaction involving 888.com although industry analysts believe any bid would have to be above GBP470 million pound mark to be acceptable to Cassava.
