Preston to back Blackpool Casino bid
The city of Preston has promised to support Blackpool with its new UK super casino bid, the city is drooling over the thought of an estimated 600 new jobs and a possible GBP500 million in economic benefits if Blackpool wins the Super Casino bid.
A spokesperson for Preston Town hall said that "Preston would get a nice piece of the action if Blackpool won the bid".
Mr Peter Kuit is the director of environmental services at Preston City Council will be the man to represent the local authority in support of Blackpool’s bid when the hearing takes place on September 8th.
Mr Peter Kuit says that Preston recognised the significance of Blackpool’s much needed regeneration, and he also said that if Blackpool won the casino license it would be a huge boost to the city Preston.
