Green light for UK TV Casino Advertising

The "BASA" is the British Advertising Standards Authority and they have just given the All Clear for Online Casinos and other gambling sites to let them start adverising on UK TV as of next year, this desion has set a new benchmark for the online gambling industry by allowing them to advertise their sites on UK TV.
This new rule will pave the way for online casinos, sportsbooks, poker rooms and other forms of Internet gambling to advertise their web sites to the entire UK population during the commercial break.
As we at Casino8.co.uk think, BASA has imposed strict guidelines as to the nature of the TV commercials, maintaining that ads must not contain seduction, sexual success and enhanced attractiveness, and must not be targeting children or people in vulnerable risk groups.

The new guidelines also dictate that adverts must refrain from showing behavior which is socially irresponsible or could lead to financial, social ruin or emotional harm. All of the new regulations are still being refined by the Committee of Advertising practice.
The proposed guidelines for online casino gambling adverts will close on the 15th September 2006. When completed the new rules will be published in May 2007 and will take effect in September 2007 when the new Gambling Act comes into affect.
