Dumfries and Galloway want New Casinos

Dumfries and Galloway have put forward two towns as candidates for new casino licenses.
Stranraer and Gretna, in Dumfries and Galloway, are to be put forward for two of the 17 uk casino licenses the UK government will issue across Scotland, England and Wales.
Although the two towns in Dumfries and Galloway have a small population of around 147,000, the local licensing board argues that regeneration plans and transport links mean the towns would be able to host small casinos and also claims that in addition the ferry links between Stranraer and Northern Ireland will help to ensure the casinos success.
