New Casino for Scotland

The Thistle Hotel in Glasgow has been granted the permission to convert the largest ballroom in Scotland into a Casino.The Thistle plans to turn part of the ground floor of the building into one of the biggest gaming clubs in the UK. The Thistle Hotel’s ballroom is the largest ballroom in Scotland, and the resultant casino will be two-thirds the size of a football pitch according to reports. The casino will have all the usual gaming tables, such as blackjack, roulette and poker as well as slot machines paying huge jackpots.The refurbishment of the ballroom, which currently has a capacity of 1500, is part of a general refurbishment project for the hotel, which has spent over £1 million already in the past year.
