Gala Group acquire new casino

The Gala Group, one of the UK's biggest casino and bingo hall operators, has acquired the Leo Casino in Liverpool, for tidey sum £14.5 million. The Leo Casino has only been open for the past three years, already has 40,000 members, Gala are planning in keeping its unique name and design and will not convert the Leo Casino to the Gala brand. The Leo Casino was named after the pet dog of previous owner, a Mr Tattinger, of the Tattinger Champagne family, the casino has 22 gaming tables, a restaurant and two bars. Mr Neil Goulden, chief executive of the Gala Group said, "Casinos like the Leo in Liverpool rarely become available, so we are particularly pleased to be able to bring it into the Gala Group".
